A friend of mine needed a mural done for a bathroom. When first asked I was all ready to say "no," but she told me I didn't have to do it the traditional paint on the wall method. She told me I could do it on the computer and then they will output it and transfer it to tile. Wow! Isn't that awesome. I did a sketch first and got it approved.

That was by far the easiest part, for me and my computer. I started off with doing the underpainting and the sky. The first one I did looked too cartoony so I trashed that. The next one I did was okay and the finally led to me doing what in the final back ground.
This project was for a kid that is hooked on World of Warcraft. So away I went with everything else. The final is missing the child and father element because I had to move Posiedon over. Reason is that the window was a lot higher in the final measurements I recieved. So out came the "father & son" icon. Posiedon was part of the main thing going on. He's trying to blow the ship off course as it escapes through a window from one reality and heads towards the real window to go to another reality. The light house is helping the craft with its beam.
The final size closed was a 1.79 gig file. Thats a closed photoshop file. When opened it was close to 2 times that size. It was insane. It literally took about 15-20 minutes everytime I did a save. I worked on an old Dual 867mhz G4 processor 1mb L3 cache per. Only 1.75 GB of DDR SDRAM. I had that computer for years, that GeForce4 Ti 4600 was cool.
UPDATE: Here are 3 samples of the finished product-----> sample1 I sample2 I sample3
